Regis College at the University of Toronto
Toronto, Canada

Prominently located at the corner of Queens Park Crescent and Wellesley Street, the new facility for Regis College marks the eastern entrance to the University of Toronto’s downtown campus. The project includes careful renovations to the historical Christie Mansion, a new library in the lower level of Fontbone Hall and a light-filled zinc and glass entrance atrium that links the two existing buildings while providing a significant new urban address. A sculptural steel plate stair makes reference the sinuously curved staircase of the stately Victorian home.
